Chopra, Woodley and Kidman dazzle at 'InStyle' Awards
Stars lit up the 2nd annual InStyle Awards Monday night.
Held under the gleaming lights of Los Angeles' Getty Center, the soirée fêted Hollywood’s tastemakers, namely Nicole Kidman (style icon), Priyanka Chopra (breakthrough style star), Shailene Woodley (advocate), Tom Ford (designer), Leon Bridges (man of style), Sir John (makeup artist), Leslie Fremar (fashion stylist) and Danilo (hairstylist).
Naturally, the stars arrived at the ceremony in style but some shined just a bit brighter. Here are the best looks from the night, starting with some of the women of the hour: Priyanka Chopra, Shailene Woodley and Nicole Kidman.
Chopra had another breakthrough and went bold with a Haider Ackermann design. The ensemble boasted an asymmetric teal top with an oversized sleeve — a nod to the craze we saw on Spring/Summer 2017 runways — as well as a black skirt with an exposed zipper.
Ever divergent, Woodley — who was recognized for her activism and has recently come under fire for protesting the national treatment of Native Americans and the Dakota Access Pipeline — went with a sheer, mixed-media halter neck dress from Sophie Theallet.
Meanwhile, Kidman went for dramatic effect with a pink and black Atelier Versace gown with an asymmetric sleeve and a thigh-high slit.
And then there was Olivia Culpo, who showed up in a classic liquid gold gown from Galvan London. Yeah, something tells us she was putting her bid in for next year's awards.
The ladies weren't the only ones turning heads, however. Just ask Jon Hamm, who arrived in a crisp navy blue suit, or InStyle honoree and designer Tom Ford, who kept it classic with an all-black creation, presumably his own.
