Breaking borders? Bryan Cranston says he'll 'definitely move' if Trump wins

Though Bryan Cranston has a solid Donald Trump impression, he thinks electing the Republican presidential candidate would be so wrong, he’d bid adieu to the U.S.

The All the Way actor joins Lena Dunham and Chelsea Handler, who have also pledged to pack their bags if Trump is voted into the oval office.

On an episode of The Bestseller Experiment podcast, Cranston said he would become an expatriate should the election go the way of The Donald.

“I would definitely move,” he told hosts Mark Stay and Mark Desvaux. “It’s not real to me that that would happen. I hope to God it won’t.”

Though Cranston pin-pointed Trump as the “ultimate character,” Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan could draw up for him right now, he admitted he would need some time to become neutral enough to build his character and justify his portrayal of Trump.

“It’s hard for me to imagine trying to justify what this man has said and done,” Cranston shared. “So, I don’t know if it’s actually possible for me to play the character, but it would be a challenge.”

As an actor, Cranston is drawn to Trump’s “tragic Shakespearean character” and predicts many projects about the candidate will arise in the future.

“In the states there will be classes taught on this election period,” Cranston hypothesized. “There’ll be books written. There’ll be movies made. There will be theatrical productions about Donald Trump because of the anomaly that he presented.”
