Seth Meyers skewers Donald Trump as a 'Bond' and 'Scooby-Doo villain'
Before our nation elects its next president, Seth Meyers took a NSFW Closer Look at the tail end of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s campaigns.
The Late Night host noted that Clinton’s campaign trail was basically a line-up that Celebrity Apprentice could only dream of, boasting megastars like Beyoncé and Jay Z, Katy Perry, and LeBron James. “It’s like she’s gathering photos for a coffee table book,” Meyers began, “called People I’m Not As Cool As.”
He also knocked HRC for asking a crowd at a rally if they were Happy to see her and Pharrell.
“I am telling you if Hillary wins,” said Meyers, “the toughest transition is gonna be from the smooth comic stylings of Barack Obama to her wooden mom jokes.”
Though he deemed her humor ineffective, Meyers acknowledged that Clinton’s celeb guests may have hurt “the fragile ego” of her opponent, who frequently jabbed Clinton for relying on stars this weekend.
“Trump didn’t bring a guitar or a piano,” Meyers stated. “But that’s okay. I’ve got an instrument for you, Donald: The world’s smallest violin. Boohoo! Of course it should be noted, with your hands it would be a regular-sized violin.”
Meyers also dragged the Republican candidate for posing with a mask baring his likeness which The Donald thought was “beautiful.”
“He looks like a Scooby-Doo villain,” Meyers quipped, “who’s so self-centered he used a mask of his own face.” Part Scooby-Doo antagonist, part James Bond miscreant, the talk show host deemed.
“(Trump) muses about vengeance,” Meyers said. “He’s like a Bond villain except instead of stroking a cat, he probably uses his own hair.”
