Brad Pitt shows fans love on the 'Allied' red carpet

Brad Pitt got some much-needed love from fans Wednesday night.
The actor/producer, who's been dealing with a contentious divorce from Angelina Jolie for two months and earlier in the day was cleared of child abuse allegations, worked the red carpet for the Los Angeles fan event for his spy movie, Allied.
Pitt signed autographs, posed for at least 10 minutes worth of selfies, shook hands, and smile-smirked for cameras. In an interview that aired on the Allied Facebook page, Pitt said he had no problem signing poster after poster and meeting with fans. "It's really sweet, everyone's been very kind out here," he said.
Of the Robert Zemeckis-directed film, which co-stars Marion Cotillard and is set during World War II, Pitt joked, "I do seem to end up in many a World War II film." The Fury and Inglourious Basterds star said that though scenes in the movie show him doing card tricks and utilizing a French accent, he couldn't demonstrate either of those skills on the red carpet. "According to Marion," Pitt's French wasn't so hot. "(And) the tricks were all Robert Zemeckis."
Pitt also was in the spotlight earlier this week when he screened another movie of his, Moonlight, which he executive produced with his Plan B production team.
Allied hits theaters Nov. 23.
