Emma Watson's adorable response to the election: Hiding books in N.Y. subway

While the results of the 2016 presidential election had many celebrities freaking out on Twitter, one star had a creative approach in channeling her thoughts: Emma Watson.

Watson, aka Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, aka the founder of feminist book club Our Shared Self, aka United Nations Women Global Goodwill Ambassador, aka the face of HeForShe, aka the new Belle from live-action Beauty and the Beast, aka all-around-delightful Brit, decided she would spread some positivity the day after Election Day. Watson left Maya Angelou books in a New York subway, and tweeted about her determination to keep fighting for women's rights.

New Yorkers looking for an inspirational read might want to get off in Chelsea.

This isn't the first time Watson has hidden paperbacks for unsuspecting travelers. Last week, she also hid Angelou's Mom & Me & Mom in the London tube.
