Watch Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's glorious rap battle for Target

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen made their dramatic debut in Legend's smoldering All of Me video. Just in time for the holidays, the couple's latest on-screen endeavor is a little more family-friendly.

Target enlisted one of Hollywood's favorite couples to star in a new "mini-musical," a modern retelling of the classic Christmas tale The Nutcracker, for their new "Toycracker" holiday campaign.

During a debut screening of the eight minute-long clip on Wednesday, fans got a sneak peek of Teigen flexing her singing pipes as the Nutcracker, alongside Legend's evil Rat King.

And then, they start rapping. Considering that Chrissy has spent several seasons as the emcee of Spike's Lip Sync Battle and John is friends with every rapper in music, it was inevitable that we'd eventually see the couple face off in a rap battle.

Don't miss the part where Teigen cringes at her husband's verse:

After Legend gets crushed on the mic by the commercial's pint-sized protagonist, a piano magically appears for a new, not-so-cheery carol, lamenting that "no one wants a rat for Christmas."

The couple was in the audience to watch their musical debut. Unfortunately for attendees, they weren't sporting their spiffy costumes, instead opting for contrasting black and winter white.

Next stop, Broadway?

Watch a trailer for "The Toycracker" before the full clip airs Dec. 11 on ABC.
