Reports: 'Suicide Squad' star Margot Robbie marries director Tom Ackerley
Sorry, boys: It looks like Margot Robbie is off the market.
The Suicide Squad star and her representatives have yet to confirm her marriage to any media outlets (including Paste BN) but she did post a photo on Instagram overnight Monday that shows her kissing her longtime beau, British director Tom Ackerley, while dressed in white and raising her ring finger to the camera. That may be all the confirmation we get.
Australia's News.com and Sydney Morning Herald report the pair wed outdoors in front of a small gathering of family and friends in the Gold Coast enclave of Byron Bay, a few hours' drive from her hometown of Dalby, Queensland. The media just can't seem to agree whether it happened Sunday or Monday.
Guests were told to gather at one location, where they were picked up and taken to the real site and told to hand in their cellphones and cameras.
Paparazzi shots show the 26-year-old bride in an off-the-shoulder, belted lace bohemian dress with her hair loosely tied back, eschewing a veil. (News.com reports the couple opted not to sell photos to any celebrity magazines.)
The couple met on the set of the 2014 World War II film Suite Française.
Robbie's next job will allow her to remain home for a while: She's set to begin filming the live-action adaptation of Beatrice Potter's Peter Rabbit in Sydney in 2017 alongside James Corden, Daisy Ridley and fellow Aussie Rose Byrne.
