Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt shut down an awkward sex question

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt haven't been afraid to discuss their Passengers romantic scenes. As Lawrence explained to Paste BN, "Sex scenes are the most unsexy things in the world." And Pratt jokingly told us the story of how that naked shower scene was a little more naked than originally planned.

But during their phone interview with the Australian radio show KIIS Summer Fling, the two stars were less forthcoming.

“Your characters have sex on the kitchen table. What’s the most adventurous place you’ve had sex?” host Sophie Monk asked.

Chris Pratt joked about getting busy on an airplane, claiming, "I hung from the ceiling by my feet, like a bat." However, Lawrence wasn't divulging any secrets. “I don’t really have anything, I like being safe,” she said. “That’s what really turns me on, being safe.”

And then, the two stars promptly hung up, leaving the hosts wondering where they went, with their publicist chiming in, "We already wrapped you."

“Sophie, what did you do?” co-host Matty Acton asked.

“I didn’t do anything," Monk replied. "We ran out of time and I wasted good time on stupid questions, that’s what I did. I just wanted the good stuff. Who wants to know boring things?"

The conversation happens around the 48-minute mark:

Lesson learned: Stars may be totally comfortable talking sex with Ellen DeGeneres. But with Australian radio shows, not so much.

Lawrence and Pratt told Paste BN that filming that kitchen-table scene was decidedly weird. "So I was sitting there at the table eating," Lawrence said, while Pratt was "surfing on the table, trying to simulate some sort of sex."
