These kids dressed as Princess Leia are what we need right now
Perhaps you've been feeling like the Force has been weaker since Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher's passing Tuesday. To strike back against their grief, people have been sharing photos of kids dressed as Fisher's beloved character in inspirational posts on social media.
While nothing can soften the loss of such a witty icon and mental health activist, we hope these little Princess Leias bring you joy.
To many, Fisher will always be our spunky, fearless princess.
"... Leia was a fighter," Paste BN's Brian Truitt wrote of the revered character, "and that's what Fisher gave to her."
"She’s me and I'm her and it’s kind of a Möbius strip," Fisher said of Leia. "I carry her around and I know her better than anybody else and we wear the same clothes a lot of times. She's mine."
