Amanda Stanton confirms her relationship with Josh Murray is over

Amanda Stanton, the third-runner up from Ben Higgins’ Bachelor season, has confirmed her split from Josh Murray, People and E! News report.

We saw the single mom of two young girls who give us style goals accept a proposal from former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman’s ex-fiancé in this summer’s season finale of Bachelor in Paradise. At the time, Murray thought he’d found “true love” with the fashionable lifestyle blogger who ignored her friends’ warnings about him that stemmed from allegations of Dorfman’s tell-all book, which Murray wrote off as “a fictional story.”

After the show’s season finale, Murray moved to California to be with his fiancée and her photogenic family, but speculation swirled of the couple’s demise in December, which appeared to be reinforced by social media posts. Stanton posed with her children sans Murray and he tweeted about needing winter clothes for Atlanta.

Stanton told People she “didn’t really know how to go about” announcing the news of their split Monday, and attributed their breakup to dissimilarities.

“At the end of the day, we were just two very different people,” she told the magazine. “I think there are some things when you love someone you can work on and try to fix things, and then there are some things you just can’t fix. I think it got to that point where we just knew it wasn’t going to work.”

Stanton told E! that she thinks the split is “for the best,” and she’s looking forward to taking a break from romance.

“I'm just excited to focus on myself, focus on my kids and hopefully somewhere down the road I'll meet the right person,” she told the entertainment news outlet. “But, I'm not really going to go out and look for it right now. I'm just taking a break from dating for a little bit."
