The Force was strong in Carrie Fisher, especially when it came to lighting up a talk show set or delighting her friend, Ellen DeGeneres.

The host honored the late actress during Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show with heartfelt words of praise and segment clips.

“Before I go I want to say something about my friend, Carrie Fisher,” DeGeneres said looking into the camera. “I knew her for a long time. She’s been on the show many times, and the last time was just a month ago. And, I loved when she was here. She made me laugh so hard. She was smart. She was funny. She was hilariously honest about herself and the world around her.”

DeGeneres then showed a humorous montage of “the always unpredictable” actress’ appearances, which included the time the duo attempted to sell tickets to Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the street while wearing Princess Leia earmuffs and when DeGeneres showed how Fisher resembled President-elect Donald Trump as a toddler.

“I miss you, Carrie,” DeGeneres said. “I love you.”
