Billy Eichner recounts Obama's 'unreal' star-studded farewell party

Billy on the Street was in the House.

Comedian Billy Eichner, who once did a segment on his show with Michelle Obama, got a chance to attend President Obama's last big party at the White House last week. He recounted his experience at the party while appearing on The Ellen Show.

"You're on line going with David Lettermen, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder," Eichner said of walking through security with a few of Hollywood's notables.

Eichner, like some other lucky celebs, also got to witness Obama's dance moves. "It was like 2:00 in the morning and the president has his sleeves rolled up and a couple of buttons down and he’s breaking it down on the dance floor. Questlove is blasting Kendrick Lamar in the White House next to a huge picture of Mary Todd Lincoln. And we're all dancing together -- Tom Hanks, Sarah Jessica Parker, Stephen Colbert. It's unreal."

The comedian said his own personal thank you to the president (after finding out that he did, in fact, know who Eichner was), thanking him for all he'd done for the LGBT community.

“He said it was one of the things he was most proud of, and I’m glad I got the chance to do that,” Eichner said.

Watch Eichner talk about the party in the segment above, starting at the 3:18 mark.
