Chris Rock teases epic surprise set with Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer

Chris Rock is flexing his comedic muscles ahead of his Total Blackout stand-up tour.

The standard-bearer for stand-up comedy hit New York City's Comedy Cellar Wednesday night, performing a surprise set alongside fellow high-profile comedians Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer. Rock immortalized the moment on Twitter, writing, "Worked out tonight with Amy and Dave. Total Black tour coming soon."

But Rock, Chappelle and Schumer weren’t the only stars to light up the stage. Per actor/comedian Jon Laster, who emceed Wednesday’s show, Jerry Seinfeld, Aziz Ansari, Dave Attell and Ryan Hamilton were also among the star-studded lineup.

Rock later posted another photo huddling with some of the A-list acts, including Ansari. "You should come next time," he wrote.

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long for the opportunity. The Total Blackout Tour, Rock’s first major tour in nine years, is set to kick off in Durham, N.C., on Feb. 14. During his initial Facebook Live announcement last month, Rock shared he would be performing "all new material" for the tour, whose name harks back to Rock's pre-Oscars tweet in which the Academy Awards show host promised a "blackout."

Here’s hoping we get one in 2017.
