Ronda Rousey goes to prison for 'Blindspot' cameo
Nearly two months after her crushing UFC loss to Amanda Nunes, Ronda Rousey is returning to acting.
NBC announced that the MMA fighter-turned-actress will be guest-starring on Blindspot in an April episode.
Per the network's press release, Rousey will play a prison inmate named Devon Penberthy serving time for weapons trafficking, "a tough, athletic woman who knows how to fight and handle a weapon."
Rousey, who also appeared in Furious 7 and The Expendables 3, won't be the only Blindspot cast member comfortable with hand-to-hand combat. Jaimie Alexander, the tattooed Jane Doe at the center of the series, plays the warrior goddess Lady Sif in the Thor franchise.
Rousey has stayed out of the spotlight since her New Year's Eve loss in the UFC women's bantamweight championship, where her opponent Nunes took her down in just 50 seconds.
