Straight Up Hollywood: Vin Diesel gets 'Furious' about 'Citizen Kane' comparisons

Time to argue about the greatest movie of all-time. Is it Orson Welles' 1941 classic Citizen Kane or the reigning box office champ The Fate of the Furious.

Really, this discussion took place with Vin Diesel.

Take a listen to a turbo-charged edition of Straight Up Hollywood. This week, the Paste BN L.A.-based podcast features Diesel, the star, producer and emotional center of The Fate of the Furious, the eighth edition of the juggernaut film franchise.

Movie reporter Bryan Alexander (@BryAlexand) reveals the behind-the-scenes of his Fate interview with Diesel, which includes the actor discussing a past feud with co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (He's known as Uncle Dwayne at Vin's house.). There's also audio of a spirited cinematic discussion tied to Diesel's claim that Fate is "best film ever." Trust us, that debate got loud.

There's great news from TV reporter Bill Keveney (@billkev). He had the good fortune to interview comedic masters Andrea Martin, Tina Fey and Tracey Wigfield. SCTV favorite Martin stars in the NBC newsroom comedy, Great News (Tuesday, 9 ET/PT), which is produced by Fey and Wigfield, who worked together on 30 Rock. Guess what? They're funny.

And, entertainment reporter Carly Mallenbaum (@ThatGirlCarly) discusses her encounter with Bill Nye "The Science Guy," who has a new Netflix series, Bill Nye Saves the World. The passionate defender of scientific inquiry is "a little angry" with people who deny or ignore science, Mallenbaum says..

Enjoy!
