8 things you forgot about 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion' on its 20th anniversary

Watch out Tuscon, here we come! Twenty years ago today, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion graced theater screens with all of its lamé glory. In celebration of the inventors of Post-its that fact, we've compiled a list of tidbits, with the help of IMDb, that you might not have known about the film — despite watching it Time After Time. So grab Ramon and your cousin, Barry — but just don't brag about it. We're road trippin' down Memory Lane.

1. Lisa Kudrow totally improvised that Post-it glue recipe

Remember when Michele (Lisa Kudrow) stuck it to Christie (Julia Campbell) by telling her all about her "special kind of glue" she invented for Post-its (while sporting a killer smokey eye)? Kudrow apparently came up with the entire technique on the spot.

2. Post-its were invented before Romy and Michele graduated

Perhaps if the duo had smartphones, they would've used Google to see that the sticky pads arrived on the scene in 1977, a decade before the BFFs finished high school.

3. The stars had brilliant nicknames for each other

Kudrow might've picked up that aforementioned sticky jargon in college. The Friends star earned a degree in Biology from Vassar and her co-star, Mira Sorvino, got her degree from Harvard in Asian Studies. While filming, the two gave each other the nicknames "Smart" and "Smarter." How do you like them apples, Christie?

4. One actress struggled to contain her laughter on set

When Romy and Michele hit spin class — sporting gym looks à la Mariah Carey — an extra appears to be holding in her laughter when Michele recalls a word problem from math class. We can't say we fault her.

5. Romy and Michele are actually characters from a play

The pair were featured in Ladies Room. Kudrow was cast as Michele in the play as well.

6. Justin Theroux portrayed the mysterious cowboy character

Prior to tying the knot with Kudrow's Friend's co-star, Jennifer Aniston, in a secret ceremony in 2015, Justin Theroux donned a cowboy hat to play the enigmatic role.

7. Several Romy and Michele stars also appeared on Friends

Campbell and Elaine Hendrix (Lisa) played objects of Ross' affection on the series. Fans of the show might also remember Vincent Ventresca (Billy) as "Fun Bobby" and then not-so-fun Bobby. Also, just when you think to yourself (in Chandler voice) that there couldn't BE any more connections, remember that when show co-creator David Crane originally envisioned the role of Monica, he had Janeane Garofalo (Heather) in mind.

8. There's a subtle nod to Michele's tragic back brace magnets

When Romy and Michele take the stage during the imagined reunion sequence, a banana and a carrot hang over the stage as a callback to the magnets OG mean girl Christie placed on Michele's back.

Now, share this with your bestest and commence arguing why one of you is the Mary and the other the Rhoda.
