Bethenny Frankel will bring her Skinnygirl savvy to 'Shark Tank'
Real Housewives alum and Skinnygirl founder Bethenny Frankel and former Yankees star and J-Lo beau Alex Rodriguez top the slate of guest sharks on the upcoming season of ABC's Shark Tank.
Frankel parlayed her fan-favorite popularity on Real Housewives of New York into a line of liquor, specifically those uber-popular light margaritas. She sold Skinnygirl in 2011 for a reported $100 million, and has stayed on Forbes' list of top-earning reality stars, taking the seventh spot in 2016.
So will she bring some reality know-how to the show?
"I guess I'm a shark after all," she tweeted as the news broke.
Glitzy headliners Frankel and Rodriguez, who heads AROD Corp., will be joined by other guest sharks — Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Records founder Richard Branson; Spanx founder and owner Sara Blakely; and Rohan Oza, who built Vitaminwater and Smartwater into major brands — on the ninth season of the reality competition, ABC announced Monday.
They will join the Shark regulars -- namely Dallas Mavericks owner and chief President Trump critic Mark Cuban and "Queen of QVC" Lori Grenier -- looking to invest in the best products pitched in increasingly unique ways by Americans from all walks of life.
