See Margot Robbie as disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding in 'I, Tonya' teaser
Looks like this Suicide Squad star is joining the skating squad.
The I, Tonya teaser trailer, out Thursday, shows us glimpses of Margot Robbie on the ice, channeling (and baring a striking resemblance to) infamous figure skater Tonya Harding.
The dramedy follows the skater's rise to fame and the moment that made it all come crashing down: when her husband tries to eliminate rival Nancy Kerrigan in the leadup to the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics.
From director Craig Gillespie, the docu-style film also stars Allison Janney as Harding's mom and Sebastian Stan as her ex-husband Jeff Gilooly, who carried out the attack on Kerrigan (Caitlin Carver).
"America, they want someone to love, but they want someone to hate," Robbie says in the teaser. "And the haters always say, 'Tonya, tell the truth.' There's no such thing as truth, I mean, it's (expletive)."
Robbie debuted the film at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, where it quickly became a festival favorite.
I, Tonya hits theaters Winter 2017.
