This one will get you.

In Wonder, based on the best-selling book by R.J. Palacio, Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson play mom and dad to a child (Jacob Tremblay) born with severe facial irregularities. After countless surgeries and years of home schooling, they're facing their biggest scare yet: sending August to elementary school for the first time.

In this exclusive video making its debut at usatoday.com, Auggie (short for August) hesitates at the school's entrance before forgoing his plastic astronaut helmet, the last barrier between himself and the outside world.

The clip portrays a scene any parent can relate to: that final goodbye, followed by a prayer that the children will be kind. "Dear God, please make them be nice to him," says a teary Roberts.

Wonder hits theaters Nov. 17.
