Twitter isn't happy with all of the Golden Globe nominations announced Monday. The nominations for best director of a motion picture overlook the films with females at the helm, like the box-office smashing Wonder Woman (Patty Jenkins) and Lady Bird (Greta Gerwig).

Those in the Twitterverse longed for female nominees.

With the acclaimed Lady Bird fresh on people's minds, which Paste BN gave ***½ out of four, Twitter users were hoping for a nod for Gerwig.
