To quote a certain Swedish band, the history book on the shelf is always repeating itself.
It took us two years to get the ABBA out of our heads after The Martian and now Mamma Mia! is bringing it back.
Thursday brought the release of the trailer for the long-awaited sequel, which finds a pregnant Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) learning more about her mom's (Meryl Streep) youth from Tanya (Christine Baranski) and Rosie (Julie Walters) — and of course, through flashbacks featuring Lily James as the young Donna.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again opens July 20, 2018, just in time for the original film's 10th anniversary.
