Stephen Colbert imagines an Oprah presidency post Globes speech, throws jabs at Trump
We weren't the only ones impressed with Oprah Winfrey's Golden Globes speech Sunday — so was Stephen Colbert.
During The Late Show Monday, the host praised Winfrey's speech, which she gave while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award, calling it "so moving, even for Oprah."
"Someone give that woman an award for winning an award," he said.
Colbert also pointed out that many were calling her speech presidential.

"A year ago, I would've agreed," he said, throwing a subtle jab to President Trump. "These days it played a little coherent."
Colbert went on to say Winfrey is "reasonable enough" to understand that being a billionaire TV star doesn't necessarily make her qualified to be president.
"Then again, if we did ever go toe-to-toe with North Korea, I believe she could calm Kim Jong-un down, just by helping him lose weight," he said, referencing Winfrey's longtime partnership with Weight Watchers. "It's a point system. It's all points, right? You eat anything you want. I love pasta, I love kimchi, I love all of it."
He then showed a clip of Trump from 1999, in which Trump said he would consider Winfrey to be his running mate if he ever ran for office.
"If you need any more proof that Donald Trump is delusional, he thinks Oprah would take vice president," Colbert jokes. "No. Uh-uh."
