Grammys 2018: Sam Smith performs in ... a 'lab coat'?

Sam Smith has the voice of an angel, but the outfit of a dentist?

That's what Twitter seemed to think Sunday night, when the British singer put on a long white jacket for his Grammy performance of Pray.

Many likened the his outerwear to a lab coat.

Some Grammy viewers thought he looked like a med student or Doogie Howser.

Others proposed additional occupations for Smith's wardrobe: a veterinarian, CVS employee, surgeon, dentist or Apple employee.

The outfit was Smith's second for the night, after he walked the Grammys carpet in a forest green suit.
