Zayn Malik on Taylor Swift's influence and that bizarre rumor that she hid in a suitcase

Zayn Malik just gave a lengthy interview to British Vogue but so far, gossip outlets are fixated on one little throwaway line about his one-time duet partner, Taylor Swift, that revives a particularly odd rumor about the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer.

While discussing the downsides of mega-fame and the influence of his pal Swift, the former One Direction singer recalled how in July 2017, Swift "was traveling around in a suitcase" carried by two bodyguards in order to avoid being spotted by the paparazzi while coming and going from her New York apartment. 

At the time, Twitter had a field day with that rumor, which was sparked by a Splash News photo caption that claimed that the "Blank Space" singer, who stands 5-foot-10, was inside a large, hard-sided valise that was snapped by paparazzi. The photo agency later retracted its claim.

Swift has yet to address the claim. 

For the record, we still say she's too tall to fit in a suitcase.
