Couple surprises each other with marriage proposals on the same day
MARSEILLE, FRANCE - When Eva Fitzner decided to propose to Jessica Di Cosmo, she had no idea she was about to get a surprise herself.

Fitzner and Di Cosmo met in college and eventually got together a few years later. One of their first dates was at an IKEA and the cinematic romance blossomed from there. Fastforward three years, and Fitzner knew she wanted to marry and start a family with Di Cosmo.
The lovebirds planned a trip to London where Fitzner wanted to propose on the ice rink. After Di Cosmo said yes, Fitzner was astonished to see her partner pull out a ring as well.
“At first I just thought [it was] a joke. This is the kind of thing you only see in Christmas movies," Fitzner said.
Other skaters at the rink applauded the couple’s iconic double proposal. Fitzner and Di Cosmo are now in the process of planning a wedding.
“Love is what brought me to the ice rink to propose Jess, but kindness is what I will never forget about the people cheering in the back. In uncertain times, love and kindness is what we all need, no matter who we want to love,” Fitzner said.
