Good news: Parents secretly bring baby home from NICU and surprise grandparents
Welcoming new family members into the world can be emotional, exciting and overwhelming. Well for this family, it was all that and more.
Baby Shai was born at 28 weeks old and 4 days. Since he was extremely premature, his first 8 weeks of life were spent in the NICU . Shai continued to grow, but for those 8 weeks, only his mom, Ximena Fitch, and dad, Joshua Paree, were allowed to visit him.

The rest of the family eagerly awaited the day they were to meet their brave new boy. His grandparents came to visit Joshua and Ximena, thinking they were going to meet their new strong member of the family later in the week.
Well, little did they know what lay in store for them. Joshua and Ximena surprised them when they got to bring Shai home early. The grandparents were about to meet him for the very first time and had no idea!
As Joshua carried baby Shai out in his arms, the two were speechless as they took in the sight of their new grandson.
The grandparents rejoiced, cried and hugged it out with the entire family finally together.
