A Broadway fan who won tickets to see the hit musical Wicked in New York got another unexpected surprise.

19-year-old Rialla De Abreu was being interviewed about what it would mean to meet the star of the show, Brittney Johnson, when Johnson herself shows up. She plays Glinda the Good Witch and was the first actor of color to play the role since Wicked began in 2003.

De Abreu won tickets to the show after submitting an essay for the contest. In it, she explained how Wicked's theme of defying the odds helped her after being diagnosed with autism. She said Johnson is an inspiration to her. Johnson, who said she read De Abreu's essay, said the feeling is mutual.
