Student anxiously awaiting college admissions on Ivy Day gets into Brown, Penn and Harvard

When Tinaye Ngorima began Ivy Day with a rejection from Dartmouth and a waitlisted application from both Yale and Princeton, his face dropped at the prospect of the disappointment that might come next.
But family members, including his sister waiting on Facetime and his parents standing behind him as he checked his college admissions statuses online, wouldn't let him give up.
"We'll get what we want," his father assured him in the video. "We'll get what we want."
All of sudden, joyous screams filled the room as the student from Ontario, Canada, found out he'd been accepted to not one, but three Ivy League schools.
His sister, Tawana, posted the emotional reaction on Tiktok and wrote in the caption that her brother has worked so hard and she's "forever grateful and proud of Zimbabwean-immigrant parents for taking a chance on us."
