ICYMI: A dust devil rescue, adorable pets, cooking nonnas and more good news from the week

Kindness came in pairs this week with two rescues, two canine adventures, and two stories of awe-inspiring grandmothers. Watch a dust devil rescue, plus cute dogs and kittens, cooking nonnas, and more in this week's Best of Humankind. When a 7-year-old Little Leaguer was almost picked up by a dust devil in Jacksonville, Florida, during a baseball game, a teenage umpire's quick thinking plucked him from danger. Meanwhile, in Ohio, a mother cat and her litter of kittens were rescued from a trash-bound couch by some Good Samaritans, just in the nick of time.
In another timely rescue, Hambone the dog was found 450 miles from his home in Tallahassee, Florida, after being missing for two years. Then there's Thor, the adorable chocolate Labrador that filmed himself while chasing his owner around the garden. On the other side of the pond, in Leicestershire, UK, a fearless senior fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming the "target girl" in a knife-throwing act to mark her 100th birthday. Finally, on Staten Island, New York, we visit a sweet group of grandmas who are cooking up a storm, serving home-style restaurant dishes, secret family recipes, and a side of welcome hugs.
Humankind from Paste BN tells uplifting stories about kindness, triumphs, and special relationships. We wouldn't be able to show the world all this kindness if it weren't for people like you who capture kind moments on camera!
