Love is in the air: Passenger proposes mid-flight with the help of Delta flight attendants
There was romance in the air, literally speaking, on a flight from Atlanta to Cancun.
Darian Brinkley and Minita Tanner left the U.S. as boyfriend and girlfriend. Little did either of them know that by the time they landed in Mexico, they'd be engaged to be married.
Granted, Darian had plans to pop the question at the resort where the couple was due to attend a friend's wedding, but he'd decided to keep it on the down low until then out of respect for the bride and groom. However, when a Delta flight attendant overhead him discussing his plans with another passenger while seated separately from Minita, fate took a hand. So it was then that Darian, the flight crew, and other passengers conspired to set up a spur-of-the-moment proposal at 30,000 feet.
