Convinced she was getting a baby brother, a little girl got a plot twist she never saw coming in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Before her mom's pregnancy, 4-year-old Emerie had always dreamed of having a little sister. When the initial blood test suggested a boy was on the way, her parents shared the news.
However, the ultrasound revealed a surprise that would make her squeal with joy.

“Seeing her reaction was truly exciting,” said Emerie’s mom, Lyne Mae-Jean. “We anticipated one baby and felt overly blessed to learn we’d be welcoming two.”
Now, twins Eliyah and Esa have turned their big sister’s world upside down in the best way possible. The trio are inseparable, though their bond comes with its fair share of classic sibling drama.
“All three siblings are getting along as best as siblings can,” said Lyne. “One moment, they’re best friends, and the next, someone’s trying to claw at the other! It’s all part of the sibling experience, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
