A stepdad got the ultimate reward from his stepson as a priceless birthday gift.
Josean Rodriguez of Baltimore, Maryland, had been a loving father figure to Julio since his stepson was a child. Josean got together with Julio’s mom in 2000, since when he’d been a supportive partner who’d always treated Julio as his own.
When his 45th birthday rolled around, Josean was delighted as his family, including Julio, now 27, gifted him a mystery basket of presents. One by one he took them out with an appreciative smile. But when he came to the last one, he couldn’t believe what he saw and turned away in tears.
