Watch boy share a parting gift with his friend, the garbage truck driver

A sweet friendship between a 9-year-old boy and a sanitation worker came to an emotional end in Florida.
Noah Carrigan has always been fascinated by trucks. So, when the garbage truck came by his house on its weekly collection route, he would always be there to greet the driver.
“For years, every Tuesday, he would run outside to wave and the garbage man always waved back, honked the horn and acknowledged him,” said Noah’s mom, Catherine Carrigan.
Noah and the driver were friends for four years. But sadly, nothing lasts forever, and when a new waste management company took over the garbage man’s route, it meant his latest visit with Noah would be his last.
“When we told him it was the last time he’d see the garbage man, he immediately ran inside to write him a note and grab some of his old garbage truck toys to give him,” says Catherine. “It was so sweet. He just wanted to say thank you. It was like saying goodbye to a part of his childhood.”
