While reviewing old videos on her phone, Audrey Roberts noticed a strangely familiar face in footage she'd captured of her best friend in 2023. In the clip, which showed Audrey's friend and boyfriend embracing at a hockey game in Greenville, South Carolina, a man casually walks by in the background.
Stunned, Audrey quickly recognized him as her now fiancé, Ethan, whom she met three months after the video was taken!

The pair began dating, moved to Hungary soon after, and eventually got engaged in Budapest.
“My fiancé and my best friend’s boyfriend were on the same hockey team at the time, which is why he was in the background, but I had no idea who he was and didn’t meet him until three months later,” Roberts said.
