Couple surprises family with pregnancy news on birthday cake
What appeared to be a simple birthday celebration turned into a moment the Miller family will never forget when they spotted an unexpected message written on the cake.
Ben Miller’s parents and grandparents gathered in Orlando, Florida, to celebrate his wife Rachel's birthday. Little did they know, the whole thing was actually a setup for a surprise pregnancy reveal.
“We had previously told my side of the family, so this was a surprise for Ben’s side.” Rachel said. “I wanted to do something fun to tell everyone!”
The 31-year-old even went as far as staging a decoy drink during dinner.
“I secretly opened a can of cider, dumped out the alcohol and replaced it with water so she wouldn’t be suspicious,” she said.
When Ben walked in with the special “birthday” cake displaying “we’re pregnant!” the family was still singing "Happy Birthday," — unaware that their lives were about to change.
“My heart was racing,” Rachel said. “It’s such life-changing news, and I knew everyone would be excited.”
