Zack Snyder rolls out a new movie Batmobile
A movie starring Batman and filming in Detroit almost demands to have a spiffy four-wheeled monster roll around town.
After an unofficial on-set visual surfaced Wednesday of the Dark Knight's ride in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, director Zack Snyder took to Twitter later in the day to show off "a real picture" of the new Batmobile.
Snyder first teased the Gotham City superhero's car in May along with the actor wearing Batman's cape and cowl, Ben Affleck.
Cinematic Bat-fans will notice that it brings together some aspects of Batmobiles past, including the sleek and sporty cockpit and body of Michael Keaton's in 1989's Batman and the monster-truck wheels and tank-like nature of the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's recent Dark Knight trilogy.
Another Batmobile hallmark: Affleck's car is bumper-to-bumper intimidating, from the back spoiler to the nostril-like engine to the twin guns in front.
In theaters March 25, 2016, Batman v Superman also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
