Binoche: Artist at work in 'Words and Pictures'

Juliette Binoche didn't just play an abstract artist in the film Words and Pictures.
The Oscar-winner also painted all the works on display in the film, a love story also starring Clive Owen. This exclusive clip from the film's Blu-Ray and DVD release shows Binoche taking on the double-duty of fully portraying an artist on screen.
"The challenge was doubled," says Binoche. "And I enjoy that. It's a lot of work. But I like challenges."
Binoche had painted since childhood before her acting career took center stage. But she took on the opportunity to put her skills on display, which director Fred Schepisi encouraged for the screen.
"We really got lucky. Because Juliette paints. And paints exceptionally well," says Schepisi
Creating the movie only encouraged the 50-year-old actress to continue enhancing her passion.
"The film has inspired her to go to another level of painting," observes the director.
