Who will be Dakota Johnson's Oscar date?

Dakota Johnson will bring her mother, actress Melanie Griffith, as her date to the Oscars, Paste BN has learned.

Johnson's personal rep confirms that the Fifty Shades of Grey actress will make her trip to the Oscars as a presenter a mother-daughter experience.

The move comes amid speculation that Johnson is single. Us magazine reported on Friday that Johnson had split from boyfriend Matthew Hitt.

There was no sign of distress with Johnson when she showed up for Oscar rehearsal on Friday in playful black overalls, a t-shirt and Adidas shoes.

Johnson had a giddy reunion with Fifty Shades co-star Rita Ora backstage at the Dolby Theatre. The two hugged and happily caught up on life since filming the steamy R-rated film which is looking to continue rocketing to box office success this weekend.

Johnson even goofed around when practicing her presenting skills onstage, dramatically waving her arms to an imaginary performer at center stage.
