Top secret! Nolan's new film due July 2017

Hollywood's biggest secret revealed this week? Turns out Christopher Nolan has a new stealth movie project that is coming to theaters July 21, 2017.

The Dark Knight director's film project was revealed Tuesday when studio Warner Bros. announced its release date. Spokesman Jack Horner confirmed the summer 2017 date to Paste BN.

Neither the title, the actors or plot details were announced about the project. So it remains a pretty big secret.

But Nolan's new movie will be going up against Universal's Pitch Perfect 3 in the busy summer slot.

The project will come out one week before Sony's Spider-Man reboot and one week after the next chapter in Fox's Planet of the Apes franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

THR reported that Warner Bros. holds worldwide rights for Nolan's unnamed project.
