Naomi Watts is feeling the fright in this exclusive trailer reveal for the thriller Shut In (in theaters Nov. 11).

Watts plays Mary, a widowed child psychologist who believes she's being haunted by the disturbed foster child Tom (Jacob Tremblay), who ran away under her care.

The haunting episodes take place in Mary's deserted New England home, where she tends to her stepson, who is in a permanent catatonic state following a car accident.

The big question presented in the trailer is whether the troubled Tom is a victim of the terror or causing the mayhem himself.

"All is not what it seems," says director Farren Blackburn. "Mary is convinced Tom is dead and haunting her, she can hear him in the walls of her house."

Tremblay, 9, shot Shut In right after completing his critically lauded performance in 2015' s Room.

"Tom's a dark character. Not Batman dark. But he's scared, has rings under his eyes and looks creepy," Tremblay told Paste BN.
