New Arcade Fire album due in October

Arcade Fire's next album will come out Oct. 29. The band announced the date with no fanfare on Twitter Thursday, in response to a fan's question.

The new album will be the group's first since 2010's The Suburbs, which won a Grammy for album of the year.

The band recorded with producer James Murphy in New York City this March. "I think it's going to be a really great record, actually," Murphy told Rolling Stone at the time.
