Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' clearly rules summer
This much is clear: Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines is the song of the summer.
The hit, featuring T.I. and Pharrell, lodged its seventh week at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100, the longest stretch on the chart this year.
It surpasses Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' Thrift Shop, which spent six non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 from February to April, according to Billboard.
The tune also tops the digital songs chart after selling another 340,000 downloads, an 11% drop from last week, for a 17-week total of 3.55 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Miley Cyrus' We Can't Stop is second (208,000 downloads), followed by Imagine Dragons' Radioactive 173,000), Jay Z and Justin Timberlake's Holy Grail (166,000) and Florida Georgia Line's Cruise (138,000).
