Paul McCartney to give first Twitter interview this Thursday

Paul McCartney will submit to questions via Twitter -- for the first time -- to promote his upcoming album, New.

Rolling Stone reports that the former Beatle has scheduled an online Q&A for this Thursday. Beginning at 9:40 AM EST, fans can use the hashtag #AskMacca to reach McCartney with their queries.

New is due Oct. 15, and will find McCartney working with producers Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns, Paul Epworth and Giles Martin.
