Lady Gaga holds 'Artpop' court on Twitter chat
Lady Gaga has been layering lots of teasers on her fans about her upcoming album, Artpop (out Nov. 11). In a quick Twitter chat, she revealed more details about it. Here are a few of her answers, according to Canada.com and Rolling Stone.
• Fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben is directing the Venus video.
• The video will not come out the same day as the single (Oct. 27).
• It's not a follow-up to her Telephone video.
• However, the follow-up is on the album.
• She is working with TechHaus on an invention called Volantis, which has something to do with space and NASA.
• There will be a song called Brooklyn Nights, but it's not on the album. The release date is yet to be announced.
• There will be a second part to Artpop.
• What's the gazing ball? "The point of creation. I view this as the sculpture of me, and my image as the representation of jeff (koons)."
• "Favorite part of tracklisting, that APPLAUSE ends the album. My dream is to do the entire album top to bottom every night at the show!"
• "I explored different genres on ARTPOP. But the concept behind the album sonically is a throughline, everything relates through joy."
• She likes Belgian waffles with Nutella and bananas.
• She likes psychedelic artists Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead.
• "Yes, (Swine is a) very personal song but it became very freeing. Put a lot of rage into this album. Its been hard to part from it."
