Video premiere: Roses & Revolutions' 'Take Me with You'
Roses & Revolution's new video isn't just a vehicle for Take Me with You, the lead single from a self-titled EP due April 1. It's a dizzying tour of visual pop-culture cues that will have viewers hitting replay again and again to spot the animated versions of everyone from Bruce Springsteen and Miley Cyrus to Percival Trullus of the Lost Side of Suburbia comic strip.
R&R are Alyssa Coco and Matt Merritt, who connected in Rochester, N.Y., and released a debut EP in October 2012, drawing inspiration for their music from Vanessa Carlton, Ingrid Michaelson, John Mayer and Jackson Browne. Take Me with You bears an imprint of The Lumineers and Colbie Caillat. The April release will also include These Walls, Down and Boomerang. The singer/songwriter duo's songs have been featured on MTV, E! and Showtime.
Nate Merritt, who did artwork for The Lumineers, created the Take Me with You video, which offers a steady stream of caricatures.
