Elton John, Kanye West to headline Bonnaroo
Get your camping gear ready -- Bonnaroo's back.
The four-day fest runs June 12-15 in Manchester, Tenn., with more than 125 bands and 20 comic acts performing on 13 stages. In keeping with tradition, the lineup is all over the place, most notably Elton John and Kanye West.
Lionel Richie also will take the stage; whether he'll don his country persona or his R&B one remains to be seen. Kanye hasn't performed at Bonnaroo since 2008, when his late-night set turned into a broad daylight set, which angered both fans and the rapper. He went on one of his more famous tirades, nearly breaking his MacBook Air because he was typing so furiously and in all caps.
Also on the docket are Jack White, Vampire Weekend, Skrillex, the Avett Brothers, Frank Ocean and Zedd.
Tickets go on sale at noon Saturday at bonnaroo.com. There are plenty of camping options, from general admission to VIP. You can even get the rock-star treatment and sleep on a fancy tour bus and cruise around the festival.
