Delvin Choice of 'The Voice' arrested on DUI charge
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Delvin Choice, who rose to fame after surviving seven rounds of last season's NBC's The Voice, was arrested Sunday on a DUI charge, authorities said.
Choice, 25, of Simpsonville, was charged with driving under the influence, first offense, and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at 4:11 a.m., according to a booking report and court records.
Records show he was released six hours later on a $1,229 personal recognizance bond.
Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne said Monday that Choice was pulled over by a Highway Patrol trooper.
Choice graduated from Greenville's Fine Arts Center and Wade Hampton High School in 2008.
