YouTube Music Awards returning in March

The YouTube Music Awards will be back for round two in March.

After the site streamed its inaugural awards show last November, the fan-voted awards will return on a date that is still to be determined, promising a "new format," according to a release.

More details will be announced in January, although new channel youtube.com/musicawards is live now.

Last year's show was hosted by Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts, and featured performances by Eminem, Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire, with winners including Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift and Girls' Generation. The show drew a peak audience of 220,000 viewers in its live stream, but has since brought in more than 54 million views, according to Variety.
