'Four' gives One Direction fourth No. 1 album

It's a good week for One Direction.

Fresh off winning three awards, including artist of the year, at Sunday's American Music Awards, the group has its fourth No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart.

With its newest release, Four, the British group set a U.S. chart record, becoming the first act to debut at the top of the chart with its first four albums. Four sold more than 387,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Four would have done just fine under the new system Billboard will use to calculate chart positions beginning next month, when the publication will start counting streaming music as well as album sales. Four had 11.6 million first-week Spotify streams in the U.S., also a record, and the group reached 1 billion global streams on the service.
