Frank Ocean posts new track to Tumblr

Frank Ocean hasn't released a new album in more than two years, but the Grammy-winning singer and rapper posted a new track to his Tumblr page Friday morning.

Called Memrise, it's less than two minutes long, and it's really more a poem than a song, as Ocean speaks in stilted rhythms over waves of electric piano and processed vocals.

Earlier this year, Ocean indicated that work on a follow-up to 2012's Channel Orange was well underway. But he's been mostly off the radar since then.

There's no indication that Memrise might be a preview of a new album — there's no indication just what it is — but it sounds like the sort of thing more likely to be an interlude than an emphasis track.
